Belgian pension funds are increasingly diversifying their portfolios by the need for higher yields, diversification and alignment with long-term sustainability goals. The majority is investing from traditional assets (government bonds, equities) towards a broader mix, including alternatives such as Private Equity, Private Debt, Infrastructure Equity and Real Estate. In this lunch session, we will discuss the investment trends in the European pension industry, highlight SAA examples for pensions and how Alternatives are positioned. We will also give our short and long term outlook view for the various sub asset classes within Alternatives.
