Capital Group - Capital Market Assumptions : Asset class forecasts to help inform your allocation decisions.

We are pleased to present Capital Group’s 2025 long-term capital market assumptions, which reflect the views that underpin our multi-asset solutions. Overall, the outlook remains favourable for long-term investors with return expectations in the mid-to-high-single digits for stocks and low-to-mid-single digits for bonds. That said, our expectations for stocks and bonds are lower over a 20-year horizon compared to last year. Outsized returns on equities over the past two years and stretched valuations in some sectors led us to mark down our estimates for stocks. Meanwhile, fixed income return expectations were impacted by modestly lower starting yields and compressed spreads.
